All State Music Festival

The Vermont All State Music Festival is an annual event supported by the Vermont Music Educators Association (VMEA) and operated by the Vermont All State Committee. The Festival offers musicians from Vermont's high schools the opportunity to perform in a band, orchestra, chorus or jazz ensemble under the direction of some of our nation's finest conductors. Three days of intensive rehearsals lead up to a series of performances involving all four groups.

2020 - 2021 All State Music Festival

Recognizing the challenges and changes we are all facing, the All State Music Festival Committee is working on providing as much of our 'normal' festival experience as possible this year

School are asked to pay this year's VMEA Participation Fee to support that effort

Instrumental, Vocal  and Jazz Auditions will be done by submitting audio recordings online (see the Audition Information for more specifics)

Scholarship Auditions will be done by submitting video recordings online

There will be two audition application periods in November-December and January-February with the regular audition fees in effect (to accommodate schools that do not have music both semesters)

And two periods to upload audition recordings in January and March (again to accommodate schools that do not have music both semesters)
