All State Music Festival

The Vermont All State Music Festival is an annual event supported by the Vermont Music Educators Association (VMEA) and operated by the Vermont All State Committee. The Festival offers musicians from Vermont's high schools the opportunity to perform in a band, orchestra, chorus or jazz ensemble under the direction of some of our nation's finest conductors. Three days of intensive rehearsals lead up to a series of performances involving all four groups.

2021 - 2022 All State Music Festival

Due to those changing and challenging conditions,

this year's All State Auditions will be video submissions, due January 15th, with

an in-person festival featuring all four ensembles from May 5th to 7th hosted by Colchester High School.

Lodging for students who require it will be secured in Burlington hotels.

Look for two emails from Steffen Parker sent in January 4th & 6th in regards to

how to submit your students' video audition submissions.

Selections will be made in late January and announced in early February.

The festival fee will be a bit higher as our normal costs have increased, but will not include a fee to cover the cost of hotel / dormitory housing.  Those costs will be covered by the Rainy Day Fund and, if needed, funds from the long-term Scholarship Fund.

The 2022 Festival will operate with mitigations as needed to provide for everyone's safety.
