Scholarship Auditions

Scholarship auditions will be performed live for a panel of adjudicators with each adjudicator submitting their own evaluation of the performance.  The total of those ratings will be used to determine the scholarship awards recipients.  For more specifics on that process, please refer to the All State Handbook.

  • Performances must be between 5 and 10 minutes in length.  Disqualification will occur for performances that are longer or shorter than that.

  • Scholarship performances will be considered in one of seven categories:  Brass, Woodwind, String, Percussion, Voice, Piano or Jazz.

  • Performances may be of any appropriate repertoire except the current audition piece for the instrument or voice part.  Multiple pieces may be performed to meet the time requirements.

  • Performances may use live accompaniment, recorded accompaniment or no accompaniment.

  • Performances must be done from memory.

  • Appropriate dress is expected.
