All State Music Update  posted: April 7, 2008
After selecting several alternates to replace students who were not able to accept their selection, the final rosters have now been sent to the managers and the music is on the way. Vergennes is busy housing, preparing, and getting ready for the parade, rehearsals and concerts. Please send any questions to Festival Director Steffen Parker.
 
Fall Conference Update  posted: March 18, 2008
Plans are being made for the 2008 VMEA Fall Conference to be held at Champlain Valley Union High School on Thursday, October 23rd. Performance ensembles are being sought at this time and we would love to hear your students at CVU this fall. If you are interested, please download the Ensemble Form from the Conference page and send it in to Conference Chair Allyson Ledoux.

We are also seeking clinicians from among our members or suggestions for workshops from others with skills & talents to share. Again, please download the appropriate form from the Conference page and send it in.

 
All Eastern Call for Performing Groups & Sessions  posted: February 11, 2008
Applications for Performing Groups and Sessions for the 2009 All Eastern Conference to be held in Providence, RI are now available online

Deadline for the Performing Group application is May 15th and for the Session application, June 1st.

This year, Johnson State College is under construction and unable to host the annual Middle School Jazz Fest on Friday, May 2nd. Our colleague, Tom Cate, has stepped up and helped arrange the use of the U-32 auditorium for the day. The schedule & info are now online.
